Education

Why is an international higher education better studying at a domestic university?

• The common notion is that foreign universities are expensive, although with scholarships this is an exaggerated issue. What many fail to consider is time and effort. Studying in an Indian college leads to a lower average salary than earned by our western counterparts. This salary sets the tone for all future promotions since companies often look at your previous salaries during compensation appraisals. Additionally, most senior positions tend to be scooped up by individuals who have an international outlook through global exposure. Finally, studying in a foreign country is an incredible learning experience helping students get a better academic as well as soft skill development.

Why has Canada become such a popular destination for education?

• Canada has been one of the market leaders in education for decades. However, what currently sets Maple Country apart is immigration. Canada is wholeheartedly inviting students to study in their universities to fill job vacancies that are always growing in the country. Students who study in Canada (especially a Master’s Degree) are practically assured a Permanent Residency Visa.

Is a good entrance test score important for a scholarship?

• A good score doesn’t automatically qualify a candidate for a scholarship, however it is one of the primary factors that the admissions department look for in a scholarship application. There are other attributes such as a candidate’s academics, extra-curriculars, financial background and their application essays (SOPs).

How do I choose the right university for me?

• We get this question a lot. Many candidates know which career path they want to take, but are at a loss for how to take that journey. Understanding the job role and the industry that you want to get into is the first step to picking the right university.
• Taking a look at the placements that the university has, gives candidates an idea of which skillsets are nurtured by the associated university.
• Talking to alumni and people who are acquainted with the university in question is the also essential to figuring out if the university fits you and vice versa.
• It is also important to consider the immigration aspect if the candidate is inclined to stay in the country in which they are pursuing their higher education.

Immigration

What are the best countries to immigrate to?

Canada: The Great White North is Number 1 on this list. With easy immigration processes, a welcoming society, great education and healthcare, cool weather, and the ever-growing job market, Canada is the undisputed leader for immigration potential.
Australia: The Land Down Under is best known in India for their cricket team. With one of the most outdoorsy lifestyles in the world, Australians are an athletic lot enjoying the sun, the beach and all that comes with it. Unaffected by the 2008 recession, Australia is an OECD nation and frequently features as the best quality of life index. With a strong job market, quality education and a lifestyle that is hard to beat, Australia is only just edged out by Canada.
Germany: The Deutschland is famous for precision, quality and high expectations. It is unsurprising that it makes the list but we’re still going to spell it out. Currently, home to over 170,000 Indians, Germany is a melting pot of different cultures mostly from other countries in the EU. A veritable hub for mechanical engineering, Germany has a low level of corruption, a love for innovation and is home to over 25 Fortune 500 companies. With a demand for highly skilled professionals, Germany is a choice destination for young, smart immigrants from all over the world.

How will I find a job abroad?

• If you fall under the NOC list in Canada or SOL in Australia (Occupations in demand list), it means that jobs are readily available for qualified candidates. On average, individuals earn 8 times as much salary in Canada as compared to India.

What is PNP? How does it work?

• Provincial Nominee Program is one of the best routes for Canadian immigration. Every province (state) in Canada has its own criteria for immigration. This criteria is custom fitted to reflect the needs and growing opportunities arising in that respective province.

Does a Master’s Degree benefit my chances?

• A Master’s Degree translates directly into a better CRS score. Your educational qualifications reflect the contribution you would make to the destination country’s economy which means that you would be more sought after. Speaking one of the countries primary languages (Eg: French for Canada) also greatly raises your chances for both visa success as well job opportunities.
